About RIASM Library:

    The Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics (RIASM) library was established in the year of 1972 to meet the academic and research interests of the students, research scholars, teachers and others . This library has excellent collection of books and journals in the fields of pure and applied Mathematics around 11,250 books that are classified by AMS subject clssification. Also the library holds the thesis and dissertations of Ph.D and M.Phil students of RIASM. RIASM library is functioning under the support of University of Madras and NBHM.

About IMS Library:

     The Library of the Indian Mathematical Society was started in 1907 at the Fergusson College, Poona (Pune) with Wrangler Principal R. P. Paranjpye, as its First Librarian who served in this capacity from 1907 to 1922. In 1950 the Library was shifted to the Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, University of Madras, Chennai : 600 005, Tamil Nadu, where it continues to be located at present. The Library receives many journals on Exchange basis and has a rich collection of back numbers of reputed mathematical journals received from all over the world. The complete IMS Library Catalogue of the back volumes of all the periodicals published by the Society as well as those received in exchange by the Society and available in the IMS Library, Chennai, also it is displayed on IMS website. The Library provides useful service to the members of the Society by mailing Books / Journals / xerox-copies of the articles on request to the members of the Society all over India. There is a spate of request for xerox copies of articles published in these journals and the Library attends to these demands promptly.
