The Ramanujan Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, University of Madras offers the following courses

M.Sc. Mathematics
M.Phil. Mathematics
Ph.D. Mathematics

Admission for M.Sc/M.Phil:

Admissions to M.Sc programmes are based on the marks obtained in the basic qualifying examination (B.Sc. Mathematics / B.Sc. Applied Science or B.E.,/B.Tech.,) (50 percent) and the entrance examination (50 percent).

Admissions to M.Phil programmes are based on the marks obtained in the basic qualifying examination (M.Sc. Mathematics) (50 percent) and the entrance examination (50 percent).

The application forms for M.Sc/M.Phil will be available in the university official website from the month of April or May.

Admission for Ph.D:

The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is awarded to a candidate who, as per these regulations, has submitted a thesis on the basis of original and independent research in any particular discipline or involving more than one discipline (inter-disciplinary), that makes a contribution to the advancement of knowledge, which is approved by Board of examiners as required. This University offers Ph.D in Full time and also in Part time.
